Vikes men edge Fraser Valley in hoops, women suffer loss

The University of Victoria Vikes men’s team recorded a gritty 78-75 Canada West basketball victory over the Fraser Valley Cascades on Saturday night at CARSA Gym to earn a split in their weekend series. UVic got 23 points from Jake Newman, 21 from Jordan Charles and 10 from point-guard Scott Kellum. The UVic Vikes also split against the Cascades in women’s Canada West play as Fraser Valley scored
